A hairy deal!
Luke 12:7
From the long hair of Samson to the bald head of Elisha, hair is mentioned on numerous occasions throughout God's Word. The most amazing statement in the Bible about hair is in today's passage. Jesus was speaking to a group of people and letting them know that they were valuable to God. In fact He wants us to know that we are so valuable that God knows all the details of our lives, even the number of hairs on their heads.
Some bald people joke that God doesn't have to work very hard counting their strands of hair. But Jesus wasn't really talking about our scalps. He was making the point that each person is valuable to God, including you. Isn't that awesome? So, every time you comb or brush your hair thank God for His love and care. Hey, that rhymes!
