Part of the Body

God has shaped each one of us for serving and ministering to others. Because God has shaped us for service we have a responsibility to worship Him and help others. The church is referred to as a body, 1 corinthians 12:27 says, "Together you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of that body."

Can you picture your own body? What if your lungs decided not to "serve" you today? What if your skin decided not to feel today? The body wouldn't work for very long would it? The same idea applies to the body of Christ. If we decide not to serve, the body doesn't work properly. The bottom line is we need to use our gifts and talents to serve the body of Christ.
