How to listen to God's Word

There is a verse found in James 1:22 which says, " But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says." It's important to listen to God's Word, but if it stops there we've missed something very important. We also need to apply it to our lives. Applying it means to "do what is says."

It's like listening to the weather. The weather man may say it's going to be raining and cold outside. If you only listened and didn't apply what you learned, you might leave the house in shorts and a t-shirt. If you listened to the weather and applied what you learned, you would put on long pants and a jacket. This week we'll look at some ways that we can hear God's Word and apply it to our lives.
